The general dimensions of the piece are: 4 1/2" wide by 2" deep

The piece has 3 seams, 12 thumbprints, and a star/ray in the center/base. The piece was hand pressed, and when done, it was painted/stained by hand.

A set consisted of one 8 inch and twelve 4 inch Round Berry bowls. Catalogs clearly state that this object could not be engraved. Note that due to the hand-blown rim/lip, diameter can differ by 1/4". This, and not clear catalog drawings, makes distinction between this, the 5" Open Belled Nappy, and the 4" Dessert Nappy difficult.
