This piece was manufactured by Unknown Manufacturer as part of the King's Crown (Variant) pattern.
The general dimensions of the piece are: Opening Length: ~11 1/4" Opening Width: ~6 1/2" Height: ~6"
The piece has 3 seams, 15 thumbprints, and a star/ray in the center/base. The piece was hand pressed, and when done, it was painted/stained by hand.
As staining can be done at any time against the glass, variants are possible. Our standard colors reflect only those known to have been applyed by the manufacturer.
This does appear to have been produced during the U.S. Glass 'Kings Crown' pattern era, and could have been a prototype for a Fruit Bowl (vs Fruit Basket) as other patterns were introducing something similar.
